I had a day like that at cannon a couple of years ago. Nice pp snow but incredibly cold. after lunch i was the only person running the tram. whenever i skied to the bottom, the tram ops would just tell me to let me know when i was ready!
Has anyone ever been the only skier, or boarder on the mountain. I nailed it once at Belleayre. We had gone to Hunter but is was beyond icy, insane more like it. My wife took a nasty dive and we gave up. Since we have a place up the road from Belleayre I figured I would give it a shot. 8 inches of new snow had fallen. They said I was the only paid ticket holder and the only one on the hill that day. Maybe a patroller or 2 was around but I never saw them. I had 8 inches of nice pow all to my self. Prolly never happen again. And my wife was so conked out from her fall that she wouldn't even come up with me.
Lets go!
I'll drive.

any weekday at magic. shared it with about 3 other people last year. never saw a soul except booting up in the lodge.
bro, you take the sweetest pics. I love the bottom two of twilight zone. the double fall line makes it that much more interesting.
I'm hitting this place this year for sure. When they get some snow that is.

There's been a couple times at Hunter when all the chairs close due to wind except the Z Lift on the Westside..
And after a while - there's like 4 people on the lift.. Due to people heading back to the front and not being able to make it back...
Then when the day is done and your heading back to the lodge - you get every trail to yourself.

very rare to be the "only" skier on the mountain. certainly near impossible at an open area, even if you wait until the lift closes, patrol still does sweep. i have assisted with a patrol sweep once, and that was as close to being the only skier on the mountain... knowing for a fact that only a half dozen skiers were any where on the mountain.
backcountry and earned turns is certainly a lot easier to be the only skier on a mountain, especially less travelled places and mid-week. pretty sure i have been out quite a few times as the only person on the mountain. i generally make that assumption when i am out there even if i know one or two other people are also on the mountain.

Keep it quite about Magic! I've been alone there on a weekend......... One of my favorite places on earth. The terrain rocks! Ascutney can get lonesome during the week. They have a couple nice trails - when it snows............
Those pics are great Greg!
