I actually finished a close on a deal with Wal-Mart on the old quad at Hunter..
Biggest deal in that companies history and I was snowboarding while we finalized it...

    But not under a kicker..

Nope. Years ago when they first came out I was offshore fishing with friends. One of my friends was into a nice fish & then all of a sudden ring, ring. It was his wife on the phone & they started having an argument while he's holding the phone in one hand & the fishing pole in the other. He wound up losing the fish. I told myself then & there I'm never getting one of those damm things. I can see some people needing one for business, I don't.

WTH answers phone calls while fighting fish? That's a dumb reason to not have a cell phone.

That's like saying because Michael Kennedy was killed playing football while skiing, you're never going to ski. WTH plays football skiing?

I charged up both batteries while skiing at the AZ Summit, the back up stayed charged even though it was cold, 90% when I plopped it into the phone.
Buy 3500 mah batteries and an external charger. I run the batteries to empty to condition them. The phone doesn't charge the batteries to full.

You don't need to condition your battery anymore because of lithium ion. It's been a long time since that was true.

Hell yeah. My tracfone is a flip phone and it'll still have full battery at the end of the day. I did a 3 day Smuggler's Notch trip this year and never had to charge my phone once. And yes, it was COLD. 20 on Sat. 10 on Sun. 5 on Mon.

Another thing that is happening is if your cell phone is roaming, it will consume more battery searching for a signal. Maybe a bigger concern for non verizon users.

Turn off mobile data or put your phone in airplane mode if you don't need it. Some of the new gps apps for smartphones don't need 3g to function.

By the way, your phone with 3 g and wifi turned off will last a couple of days because it's just doing less.

Sticking a toe warmer pack to the back of your phone helps it from the cold sapping it.

I keep a charged external USB battery with me especially when I am doing sidecountry or back country. They charge your phone fast and you can keep other devices charged. You can get them stand alone but I got mine with one of the solar panels Voltiac sells. Just a USB cable from battery to phone and hit button.

    Here is what I use:
