DeMarchi Pro Bib Shorts

What makes a legend? Is it an unwavering dedication to quality; a passion for perfection; or the will to continuously innovate? We say all of the above, and we also say that without a doubt, De Marchi embodies these principles. With its Pro Bib Shorts, you witness an evolution in design that started in 1946, and as we feel, will continue long past we're gone.
De Marchi really covered all of its bases with Pro bib shorts by selecting the ideal fabrics for its construction. Accordingly, the Pro has been made from genuine Sports Lycra. This material provides a slightly compressive fit that isolates key muscle groups for protection from detrimental road vibrations. However, as supportive as the Lycra is, you don't have to worry about a constrictive feel or sweating in it like it's a skin suit. In fact, this fabric is designed to be extremely breathable and with a heightened level of elasticity. As for the uppers, you'll notice that the front portion of the straps maintains the Sports Lycra construction, while the rear portion features an elastic mesh construction. This combination of materials provides the ideal ratio of support and breathability.
For the fit, the Pro bib shorts feature one of the most sophisticated and legendary design patterns in the business. De Marchi calls this its Contour Technology, but you can call it perfection. Contour is essentially a three dimensional design process that accounts for both your body in motion and, more importantly for fit, in the cycling position. Basically, this has been achieved through a contoured collection of six deliberately placed panels that work in cooperation with the fabric's limitations and stretchable qualities. So, you can expect the same degree of support, stretch, and coverage regardless of if you're climbing on the hoods or buried in the drops. Furthermore, the fit has been secured by De Marchi's seamless, pre-shaped leg grippers and elastic mesh uppers. And for added piece of mind towards your precision fit, every De Marchi piece is Oeko-Tex quality control certified and handmade in Italy from 100% Italian fabrics.
As for the chamois, the Pro bib shorts come equipped with an EIT (Elastic Interface Technology) Gara insert. A little know fact, is that the ever prevalent CyTech and EIT are actually creations of De Marchi. In fact, at their inception, they were simply called De Marchi. So, you can be assured that you'll be resting easy in the saddle. But don't take our word for it. This chamois uses a variable density throughout the pad to support the regions that need the most support, without impacting the ones that don't. And for the Gara, the support focus is primarily placed at the perineal, ischial, and gluteal areas -- the points most prone to distress from saddle pressure and compression. With its anatomic, Elastic Interface design, the Gara creates an abrasion-free support that promotes an increased circulation by protecting nerves like the pudendal. Even more impressive, the Gara is road-specific. EIT engineers realize that saddles and saddle positions vary throughout different disciplines of cycling, and the Pro's chamois density patterns are mindful of the specific pressures of road cycling.
The De Marchi Pro Bib Shorts are available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the color Black.
