Some friends of ours moved to Fairbanks to teach at the University of Alaska and invited us to visit them. We skied together yesterday at Mt. Aurora Ski Land. http://www.skiland.org/

Six inches of fresh powder, and a fun, slow old double chair from the 1960s.

One of the amazing things was that there is so much acreage, and the lift capacity is so slow, that there was plenty of untracked and semi-tracked all day long!

(No moguls though ;) ;) )

Peace

Looks like a cool place!! Love the tagline: 50yrs of skiing, going downhill since 1962. Lol hopefully a more extensive report is to follow...
