2XU Active Men's Tri Shorts

BLA.jpg

We understand that not every triathlete's preference is cut from the same cloth. 2XU has made a point to accommodate every preference and price range. With its Active Tri Shorts, 2XU combines top-shelf technology with everyday comfort for an effective all-rounder pair of shorts.
Creating one fabric that performs as well in the water as it does on the land is about as hard as it sounds. Lucky for you, 2XU has been in the business of fabric engineering for awhile, now. And for the Active Tri shorts, 2XU assigned its SBR Neo Skin material to the job. So, how does it work? Well, 2XU started the process through a calculated blend of both polyamide and Creora elastane. In one knit, the two fibers create both a heightened level of elasticity and moderate compressive qualities. Both of these characteristics allow Neo Skin to provide a complete freedom of movement while still retaining its intended shape. Additionally, Neo Skin's knit orientation accelerates your hydrodynamics without compromising your onshore breathability. 2XU achieved this complex order by using an optimum gauge knit of the polyamide yarn. So, excess core heat and vapors are expelled out of the shorts, while water is fended off from entering. Additionally, the fibers are designed and constructed for quick-drying after T1, and they even promote a 50+ protection from UV rays.
For the fit, the Active Tri shorts have been designed on an anatomical contour. This means that you'll find the shorts to be conforming to the body, as well as quite stretchable. This is due to the contoured seam placement. Essentially, this feature allows a full range of flexible movement throughout the various, complex articulations of triathlon. The end result is a next-to-skin fit that's completely free from the risk of abrasion and chafing.
So, 2XU ensured that you'll be blazing into T1, but how do the Tri shorts hold up from there? Of course, one of the most pressing issues is riding or running with a wet, bulky chamois -- our bodies cringe merely thinking about it. The approach to alleviating this concern was twofold. First, the chamois has to be substantial enough for support in the saddle, yet it can't be so sizable as to inhibit your swim or run. Secondly, the insert has to remain dry over all three disciplines. Basically, 2XU set out to create the Holy Grail of triathlon chamois, and it did with the exclusive SBR Fleece insert. This chamois uses a variable density design that provides targeted support to pressured nerves, while remaining unnoticeable on foot and in the water. Additionally, 2XU constructed the fleece from a micro-filament polyester yarn with hydrophobic properties. So, neither water or perspiration will bog down the dryness of the fleece.
The 2XU Active Tri Shorts are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/black and Marine Blue/coastal blue.
