Saturday was cloudy but not raining.
The upper elevations were clouded in while the Bear Mountain Mogul Competition was in full swing on Outer Limits.
In the morning Bear Mountain was in good condition, the trails (Wildfire and Bear Claw) were busy, however not crowded, and the snow was corn with soft spaced out bumps.
The rest of the mountain was open and willing to provide pleasure to those asking.
Like Bear, Sky Peak & Superstar was good in the morning, the trails were busy, however not crowded, and the snow was corn with soft spaced out bumps. Due to the clouds making visability difficult, the top of Superstar was difficult, however the middle and lower portions were fun. The soft bumps were forgiving.
All day the upper crown of Killington Peak and Canyon was cloud covered and the snow was soft but not wet. The trails in the trees were perfect with some fresh on top.
We made tracks on the mountain all day, never waited for a fall line or a lift. We stayed in the Canyon and made lots of turns on Big Dipper, Cascade, Upper Down-Draft, Double-Dipper, East Fall, The Glades, and Racer's Edge.
The Canyon Quad chair was interesting. Skiers boarded it tired but smiling and left it energized... very mystical.
Killington appears to have enough snow for a while, it's the lack of skiers that may cause it to close access to areas soon rather than later.
