Quoting same post more than once

Sometimes a member makes a lengthy post and I want to quote just a couple of small parts of it. I can delete the unwanted part of his post when I'm quoting and responding to it but how do I have two different parts of his post in two completely separate quote boxes? I see others do this but I've never figured it out.

    Hope that made sense.

Yup, so what gmcunni posted looks like this:

[QUOTE=Edd;788090]Sometimes a member makes a lengthy post and I want to quote just a couple of small parts of it. [/QUOTE]
[QUOTE=Edd;788090]I can delete the unwanted part of his post when I'm quoting and responding to it but how do I have two different parts of his post in [U]two completely separate quote boxes? [/U][/QUOTE]
[QUOTE=Edd;788090]I see others do this but I've never figured it out.

    Hope that made sense.[/QUOTE]
Note that he copied the [QUOTE=Edd;788090] tag to the beginning of each section of text that he wanted in a separate quote box, and then the [/QUOTE] tag to the end of the text.

Thanks guys. I've tried this a couple of times but I think I blew it by using [/QUOTE] on both sides of each portion.
