I bought Vahalla on itunes. I liked it a lot. Those dudes are definitely doing something different with ski porn. Decent mix of skiing and snowboarding as well which was nice for this knuckle dragger... but even if it was only skiing I would have enjoyed. Anything using Dear Mr Fantasy so well is worth a watch

Puckit. Great day of skiing Cannon with you yesterday. Afterwards we drank a few beers and fired up this video based on your recommendation. We watched it multiple times. M is convinced that it is video editing trickery combined with a couple of real shots to make it appear more real. I think maybe they hauled in some snow for takeoffs and landings. Anyone have any insight on how they pulled this off!?!? However they did it, it's beautiful and amazing.

They talk about it a bit in this article from the Times that is worth a read.. Skiing Films Now Have Stories To Match The Stunts

The film’s groundbreaking visuals include the final scene, in which skiers soar in slow motion through a lush rain forest, a feat that isn’t a computer-generated gimmick, but rather a result of a grueling summer shoot at Mount Baker, in Washington State, involving trucks full of snow, electric winches, wooden jumps and a lot of bruises. In a huge break from convention, the skiers and locations in “Valhalla” are not named until the credits roll.

These guys are taking ski films to the next level

I've tired of the extreme skier movies.
These guys have really stepped up the quality of flicks, turning it into an art form. It may not be on snow, but it does involve snow skis. I kept saying, "how'd he do that without dying?" Probably a lot of retakes and some serious editing.

Regardless, it's a beauty to watch!
