Resort or Ski Area: Alta and Snowbird Utah

Conditions: PP and Powder

Trip Report: "Bucket List" trip to Alta and Snowbird. The blog has all the gory details, but safe to say we had a really, really good time. Our first trip out west and hopefully not our last. We skied primarily at Alta as that is where we were based, but we did make a day trip to Snowbird too. We had a blast and we didn't even hit all the super steep scary stuff. Snow was great and we had a couple of moderate powder days to play in too. If you have never been out west it is worth saving up the acorns to make it happen.

Check out the blog for pics and more words but I will embed our GoPro video below of our Alta experiences.

Glad you came when you did. Awesome timing. We've been getting the goods for sure. I was at the 'bird today for the first time in a couple weeks and man oh man was it good. All my favorites were open and in very good shape. More snow this week and in the future. Hoping it keeps on going so that we can ski lift-served into May and beyond.

It's killing me that I'm not going out this year (GD NJ school vacations). This will be the last time as the nest empties and the wife and I will be out every March from now till we go out for good. Lucky we're having a good winter back here in the east so the pain is eased a little bit.

Hey - did you get any good pictures of the landscape around Snowbird you could send me? I was there the week before you and had a blast. First day was a beautiful bluebird day and I didn't take any photos. I said to myself - I'm here all week I'll get some good photos. Every other day was snowing or fogged in! (Not that I'm complaining about the snow - it was perfectly timed).

I'd love to have a few nice photographs of the view from the summit of Snowbird facing the front side. I did get a few good shots of mineral basin but would take anything you have!

Thanks, and great trip report!
