Oooh, I think I like NK's educational system:
"All North Korean students above 14 are required to join the “Youth Red Guard.” In summer, students throw hand grenades and run obstacle courses as part of their military physical education sessions, and in winter they ski and skate"
I always wanted to throw grenades when I was 14!

I think they have Swiss lifts installed without approval, or something like that.

Italian company Prinoth and Sweden's Areco both deny directly supplying skiing equipment to the DPRK, and said they had no idea how the northern Asian country got a hold of it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume he means lift crickets since he's out of work and clearly doesn't have a million dollars worth of lift tickets to give away. Are lift crickets expensive?

Here's the new ski area on Google Earth: http://www.snowjournal.com/page.php?cid=galimg33128 It's called Masik Pass; Wonsan is the nearest city. Vertical drop about 2,200 feet.
I heard they wound up putting the chairlift on the left side of the mountain then along the ridge to the top, rather than up either of thise liftline cuts.
