"The Local" is my preferred method. got my daughter doing "the oklahoma suitcase" this year because she loads her stuff on a bus and other kids were taking the wrong poles.

i want to try The Hobo soon.

Usually the boyfriend. If I'm by myself, the local. Or I use a Dakine bag with a diagonal carry feature.

I've never seen anyone do the hobo. I can't imagine it would work well with composite poles.

I've been calling these out ever since I saw that video  today at Wachussett I saw someone doing the decapitator for the first time  and I saw a ton of people doing the Oklahoma Suitcase which is usually pretty rare.

Me I do the local and sometimes bazooka and for short distances the pimp stick, and with the mono sometimes I'll do the fish hook.

Easy Like. A suitcase with a bowtie strap carrier for skis n poles

http://www.bowtieproducts.com/FAT ski carrier.htm

I wonder if something like that was what I was seeing at WaWa today...because there was an inordinate amount of people toting around the Oklahoma Suitcase, dozens of them, and they didn't look like the kind of people that frankly had the technical ability to engage the traditional pole strap suitcase. Wondering if I had looked a little closer if it wasn't some kind of strap device, possibly even something they were selling to all these people at the wachusett ski shop...

I do the Alabama Hot Pocket......oh, sorry, wrong discussion. I gotta go figure out what all these names mean. Upside down over the shoulder, whatever that's called.

This sounds like something one might do after getting liquored up at the bar. Do you have a story to share?!

I guess I'm just an eager skier! When I hit up Hunter, I usually split my skis between hands to minimize the theft risk!
