Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback

Conditions: Spring Corn and Mash

Trip Report: Wow what a great day at Saddleback. Warm temps, bright sunshine, burgers and suds on the deck and wall to wall snow. Everything skied great and we had a blast.

They ran the Bronco Buster challenge again. Dubbed 2.0. They didn't groom Tightline (previously name Bronco Buster) over the last two weekends hoping it would bump it but it really never did. If you made it top to bottom without stopping or falling you got an early season lift ticket for next year. It was a pretty tame run but they had a band on the deck of the Yurt and lots of smiles around so it was all good.

More words and pics on the blog and my son Isaac's video of his run for the Bronco Buster challenge. He spiced it up a bit with a couple of jumps on the way down.

One more video of various runs at Saddleback. It is remarkable how much snow they had up there on Saturday. The scrub skiing at 0:27 is between Wardens Worry and Frostbite. 0:49 is Wardens Worry. 0:59 is Upper Governor Glade. 1:20 is Governor Headwall. 1:28 Governor Rock Jump (with a little help from us). 1:38 Golden Smelt.
