Smuggs reported 8", not exactly sure how they figured that. I'm still not going to be "tricked" into skiing today though after MASSIVE amounts of rain followed by plummeting temperatures. I'm not even sure tomorrow will be safe, thinking of skiing Friday and Saturday and calling it a season.

That is interesting since next door at Stowe they are reporting 3-5.Think I'll wait till Friday also but I'm sure this new snow will help to repair the frozen crap out there once its tilled in.

We are entering into a thaw refreeze period that will take us into the weekend - not to mention more liquid precip on Saturday. I think mornings are not going to be that great, but late morning/afternoons should shape up nicely.

sorry about that guys , I went skinning in the rain yesterday and Ullr found out :)

today, my morning schedule involved walking home from town after dropping car off at the mechanic. Trudged through like 4" of snow on the catamount trail which is more like a stream. However, I will be out tomorrow AM getting what is left of this... I imagine there will be plenty of great dust on crust turns at Mt Ellen or MRG.

The pics on Facebook look pretty damn good. Did you rethink your decision? I would love to hear a first hand account...

2-3" over here in the central NEK. The birds are confused. This is a patch of grass that was under the flood waters this morning so it didn't get covered in snow.

Probably lots of worms and bugs coming up if that area was saturated with water. Good eating for the robins!

I didnt. It's a beautiful crystal clear day though, that's for sure. I know judging from the snow report some of the things I skied on Monday are now closed. But with the amazing amount of rain yesterday I would be shocked if there wasnt a lot of ice under the 5" of snow.
