BMC Trailfox TF01 XTR Complete Mountain Bike

The BMC Trailfox TF01 XTR 2013 Complete Mountain Bike knows few, if any limits, and thats all the more apparent the harder you push it. The long-travel carbon fiber frame is stiff, light, and highly responsive. And with a proven Shimano XTR drivetrain and Factory series FOX suspension, its ready to tackle anything, and we mean anything, that you are.
The TF01 uses unidirectional carbon fiber throughout. Unidirectional carbon is notoriously difficult to work with, but is advantageous since each layer can be oriented so that the fibers are perfectly aligned to distribute stresses in the frame as outlined by the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the design lab. By doing so, BMC makes the frame as light as possible while retaining strength and stiffness where it's needed most.
Stroke is controlled using BMC's patented Advanced Pivot System rear suspension. It's essentially a mini-link rear suspension that creates a floating pivot. By positioning the floating pivot relative to the chainrings, the APS suspension maintains the efficient pedaling characteristic that world class riders demand from a high-performance trail bike. The Trailfox offers a generous 150mm of rear wheel travel damped by a FOX FLOAT CTD shock. It's air sprung and has an external adjustment for rebound damping and a three-position lever for adding low speed compression damping if needed on long climbs or mellower terrain.
This particular TF01 is runs on a Shimano XTR drivetrain, as well as the extraordinary XTR brakes. The suspension gets an upgrade over the X0 build in the form of FOXs Factory series components"specifically a FLOAT CTD rear shock, and a travel-adjustable 32 TALAS RL fork, both equipped with the friction-reducing Kashima coat. Eastons Haven line supplies the stem, and carbon handlebar, while the seatpost is a Rockshox Reverb Stealth dropper post crowned with a Fi:zik Tundra saddle. The wheels are tubeless-compatible Easton Haven Carbons, built with Eastons own carbon fiber rims, and wrapped in Onza tires.
The BMC Trailfox TF01 XTR 2013 Complete Mountain Bike is available in three sizes, from Small, to Large, and in the color Brown.
