Assos' winterSocks use a thoughtful blend of natural and synthetic fibers for their construction. Blending old and new, a majority of the socks' composition is comprised of tried-and-true wool. Renowned for its incredible thermo-regulation and moisture transferring properties, wool has been the sock material of choice for decades across multiple disciplines of sport. However, in true Assos form, its engineers identified the pitfalls of wool and tweaked the recipe accordingly. The winterSocks use synthetic fibers like elastane and polyamide to add stretch, durability, and precision fit to the construction.
Not only does this blend keep your feet warm and dry, but the fabric is exceptionally comfortable. Free from abrasion, your feet can move with ease within the shoe. Furthermore, Assos placed the major seams on the exterior of the socks. Please note that the winterSocks fall into Assos' ClimaRange Winter 6, or in English, temperatures roughly between 23 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit. So, if you intend on following the Assos Layering System, make your selections from ClimaRanges 6 and 7.
