According to multiple reports, Sugarloaf General Manager John Diller will be retiring following the 2014-15 season.
A native of Skowhegan and a relative of a founder of Sunday River, Diller ski raced locally during his teen years.
After attending Northland College in Wisconsin, Diller started his tenure at Sugarloaf as a ski instructor in 1970.
Diller was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 1982 and later to the top position in 1998.
Sugarloaf plans to name a new General Manager during the 2014-15 ski season.

There's a link to the Franklin Sun Journal but it appears to be broken.
