Powhunter pointed out that Octoberfest is on sale all ready - not something unreasonable to say to a guy with a Sam Adams reference in his screen name, right? Actually, the savemeasammy thing is a relic from nearly 20 years ago when I started playing fantasy football. I was a big Sam Adams fan then. I drank winter lager, Boston lager, and Octoberfest as my regular beers. My taste has changed, but the screen name didn't. When I joined AZ, I guess I was too lazy to come up with something better...!

Does anyone else have a story behind their name - even if it's as lame as mine?

When I first joined I used my AIM handle that I had from like 7th grade, which was llamborghinii (Since lamborghini was already taken with AIM). If i'm quoted in some old posts you'll actually still be able to see it. Well I figured it was time to get with reality and grow up so I wanted to make it something more appropriate.

I don't remember how I came up with it, it just kind of popped up in my head one day, I probably overheard someone say something like "I'd ski anywhere."

Still living in New England at the time, I came up with skiNEwhere. If I moved to Nebraska, I guess it could stand for that too. I asked Greg to change it for me sometime in 2009.

I made sure to capitalize the NE, otherwise the handle sounds slightly pornographic. skin-e-where

I thought it was because you liked sandwiches. Who knew?

For me, it's all I ever want. It's like I'm still in grade school praying for a snow day.

No I'm not a twin. But when twin tip skis first appeared on the scene I was smitten. The planx thing is kind of inside joke between skiers/boarders...and the X is cause I'm so eXtreme lol

When I was doing a lot of bass fishing tournaments I had a 17' aluminum bass boat. I started winning a bunch of events and people prior to tournaments would make comments about "Tin to win" since I was becoming a favorite and everyone else was fishing pricey fiberglass boats. On some bass fishing boards it used to be "Tin2Win" then it went down to just "Tin". A lot of fishing friends and guys at tournaments still refer to me as "Tin".
