They will have the temps to do it but back here stuff will be warm for quite a while. We will be lucky to see October turns...

Ss20 made a post a few weeks ago showing favorable snowmaking temps for killington mid October

Not happening. You guys out there have the troughing going for you so we will see warmer temps and precip for the next several weeks.

Wow, just looked at the forecast and things have changed quite a bit with not below freezing temps for Killington - Maybe at the summit towards the end of the month. Wildcat or Bretton Woods actually has a better shot at getting the right temps just being further north!

Patience. Some forecasters who were right on with last winter, and this summer, have had a warm fall in the forecast for months. We want the streak to continue - they have a cold and snowy winter for the east! Better a warm October than a warm winter month. Enjoy the foliage. If you really want to ski, go West.

Game off.

Temps have been above freezing, even at the summit of Loveland and A-Basin, for the last 2-3 days. Temps might scratch freezing the next few days, might not be enough to turn the guns back on though.

'Tis October, so I'm not that surprised.
