Castelli's Endurance Full-zip Short Sleeve Jersey takes the technology of the base layer and integrates it into the jersey so you get a dual-layer that increases airflow and manages moisture.
The Endurance is constructed from two layers of fabric. This is the latest of Castelli's innovations. The interior is a layer of mesh treated with Castelli's ProSecco. This fabric treatment helps to pull moisture to the outside of the fabric and keep it away from your skin. And while you may think that a breeze blowing over wet skin will actually keep you cooler, quick spikes and drops in body temperature only serve to zap energy. Once perspiration is pulled to the outside of the mesh, the outer layer of the jersey, which is 4-way stretch woven fabric, pulls the moisture to the outside of the jersey so that it evaporates. The two layers use Airflow Technology which means that while they function together, they move freely against each other. This allows for free airflow between the two layers which increases the rate of moisture management. An added mesh panel at the back of the neck allows excess heat to escape.
The jersey features a form fit with a full-length cam-lock zipper. The jersey was designed to fit while you are in riding position and to this end, it may fit a bit oddly while you are standing. To keep it in place, rather than using elastic, Castelli used sublimated arm and waistbands which hold the jersey firmly against your skin without binding. The Endurance Jersey's three back pockets hold all of your riding essentials.
