From the daily report....

Because of the impressive conditions and a favorable long range forecast, we have made the decision to stay open during the upcoming week. Instead of closing like originally anticipated, we will remain open this Monday (11/17) through Thursday (11/20) from 8:30am until 12:00pm each day. Ticket prices for the half days will be $39 for all ages. Beginning Friday November 21st, we will resume normal operating hours and will be open seven days a week for the rest of our season.

That's bizzare. Maybe they did that just to give highway star ammunition to jizz all over overrated killington.

Highway star aside, that sounds like a gesture to pass holders. Minimize financial losses while building good will.

Agree. They could almost justify those mid-week hours of operation year round. I find the choice of hours interesting....Kind of brings up the long standing debate of "first chair" versus "last chair". The Loaf seems to be siding with the first chair crowd with those hours.

Because of how harsh the wind is at Sugarloaf, I feel like it's a mountain you want to get on the hill early more so than other NE mountains. The wind there rips up the terrain almost as much as skier traffic. The place is magic the first couple hours of the day.
