Doc's Skin Care Chamois Cream
Doc's was founded as a result of Dr. 'Doc' Joshua Barton being unsatisfied with the quality of cycling-specific skin care creams available on the market. As a competitive cyclist himself, Barton worked with pharmacists and chemists for four years in order to produce a new line of all-natural skin care products designed specifically for athletes. In 2010, Doc's chamois cream was released, quickly becoming its best-seller, and leading to a full-range of other all-natural products for cyclists, runners, and endurance athletes.
From the beginning, Barton knew that it would take riders more than a couple of hours in the saddle to truly test a new chamois cream, which was why he took his concoction to France. He dispersed his cream to cyclists riding the Nuts of Ventoux Challenge, as the event involves riders climbing all three routes to the summit of Ventoux in a single, six-to-eight hour day. Barton took the riders' feedback, combined it with those four years of testing, and finally released his all-natural chamois cream to the public.
Unlike other chamois treatments, Doc's cream forms a protective, anti-friction barrier using only natural ingredients. For its healing and anti-inflammatory properties, aloe-vera was chosen for the cream. This vitamin- and mineral-rich gel composition, blended with natural coconut oil, provides the durable and all-important anti-friction barrier between your skin and the chamois. And unlike petroleum-based mineral oil creams, this formulation doesn't clog pores or obstruct airflow to the chamois. Accordingly, this keeps both you and the chamois protected. And because the natural cream also incorporates witch hazel and aromatic tea tree oil, which naturally combat bacteria and fungus, the cream washes out easily in order to keep your chamois supple and clean.
Doc's All-Natural Chamois Cream is available in an eight-ounce tub and is manufactured in the USA.
