Weston Ski Track, 1/1/2015

Even though the conditions sounded marginal at best up north, and the fact that I slept until 11:30am today, I still needed to get outside and onto some snow. So I packed up the XC stuff and made the quick trip to Weston. They had guns blasting, but only about a .5km loop open.

All things considered, it was rather fun. Good exercise, and nice snow for what it was. There were maybe 20 people out there, mostly hardcore skate xc folks. My daughter and I clomped about for a couple hours, enjoyed the fresh air, and raced down the 7th hole hill, or whatever it is. Skied until our legs were tired and the sun set.
