Since you'll be there on a Friday traffic won't be an issue. As for ice, with the weather we've been having things should be fine. Willoughby is prone to getting windblown under the right circumstances. I was surprised at how quickly Wilderness iced up the other day. But that was before the last two snowstorms.

One thing no one seemed to mention - unless I missed it - Park at the Mid-Burke Lodge if you can. It more of an old school lodge and you won't be dealing with the beginner lifts to get to the upper mountain. Even though I had to redeem my Liftopia pass at the Shurburne lodge I just parked in the temp lot right off the stairs then drove around to the upper lot.
