The bibs were constructed using panels with a combination of two fabrics " Ultra Aero and Revo. The former material was knit with a dimensionally sculpted surface. This means that it is two-dimensional and the texture mimics that of a golf ball. The dimples create a surface that is effectively more aerodynamic. The fabric's stretch also provides light compression for the muscles which, in turn, helps to reduce fatigue-induced vibration from rough roads or cobbles. The second fabric, Revo also features a wind-cheating texture, though it is not dimpled. It is used for the front and back panels which necessitate more durability. Both fabrics wick moisture away from the skin to keep you dry.
The uppers were sewn from Mobil Mesh. This is a highly breathable, yet lightweight fabric which helps to ventilate excess moisture so that you won't feel soggy under the straps. The straps feature a wide back panel so they won't slip off your shoulders. Aero Bands were used on the leg openings to hold the shorts in place without binding or pinching the skin. A single side pocket holds an mp3 player, race radio or a gel.
Finishing off the RS Pro Bibs is Sugoi's formula FX chamois. This pinnacle-level chamois features a series of layers that have been laminated together for seamless comfort. The foam was carved so that it provides specific support and cushioning without added bulk. The process actually claims to reduce the weight of an insert by as much as 33 percent.
