Resort or Ski Area: Sugarbush

Conditions: Corn Harvest

Trip Report: I'll show up to work tomorrow sunburnt, hung over, and barely able to walk, but it was well worth it. Great day at Sugarbush! Temp rose from 33 to 45 as we drove up Route 100 from Rochester early this morning, and conditions were soft on the trails from opening bell. Must've been in the 60's after lunch.

Made our way around Lincoln Peak, starting at Bravo, then Heaven's Gate, Castlerock, and North Lynx in the afternoon. After about 10:30, it was full-on party mode. The woods softened up, the lifties fired up their portable grills, and it was jeans & t-shirt time. The mountain was surprisingly crowded, but we usually only waited a couple minutes, other than Castlerock (15-20 minute wait). Only complaint was that they should've had at least one lift other than Bravo open before 10am.

Today was a great day at Sugarbush. I was on the mountain from 10 AM to 3 PM but went from early sun on North Lynx to Castlerock, Heavens Gate ( which went down for and hour midday) and finished on Snowball/Spring Fling off the Bravo Chair. There was still full snow cover everywhere but today was the last day for the Gate House and North Lynx chairs this season. The pictues posted by Loaf Nut above look like they are Middle Earth, Organ Grinder and Sunrise.
