Sidi Tarus Shoes

BLA.jpg

While clothes make the man, shoes make the cyclist. And if you're riding in flimsy, uncomfortable shoes, scoot a little closer to the screen and read what we have to say. It's time for a change. A proper shoe increases your delivery of power and will keep you comfortable over a long day in the saddle. Also, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend a month's rent to get into a pair of beautiful Italian shoes. Basically, all that you need to step your shoe game up are the Sidi Tarus Shoes.
Don't forget that your shoes serve a specific purpose when you're on the bike -- the transmission of power from your legs to the drivetrain. And in this event, rigidity is key. That's why Sidi uses a multi-step system to ensure that your power output receives a minimal amount of dissipation through the interaction of the shoe and the pedal. So, to start, the sole of the Tarus shoes were made to be both stiff and durable. Using the newest iteration of the Millennium series, the Millennium 3 sole differs from its predecessors in its carbon infused construction. Whereas prior generations relied on a reinforced nylon matrix, the Millennium 3 infuses this matrix with carbon fiber. This process dramatically improves the overall stiffness of the shoe, while adding an enhanced level of durability. In fact, Sidi estimates that the new material is less susceptible to temperature extremes and wear, and accordingly, the soles are predicted to retain their rigidity levels over multiple seasons of use. Additionally, Sidi also included a replaceable heel pad for the inevitable walks from the street to the espresso counter.
For a secure fit, Sidi used a three strap, Velcro closure system. This allows full adjustability that will stand the test of time. Sidi also added its signature heel cup to keep the foot in the perfect position on hard up strokes and while climbing out of the saddle. For comfort, the body of the shoe has been made from a synthetic leather. This material provides a firm grip on the foot, thoroughly fulfilling its duty as a strong interface between your foot and the sole. Even better, the material is extremely durable, as it doesn't succumb to the variable forces and bending that would normally wrinkle the shape of the uppers. Instead, the intended shape of the shoe remains unscathed over the years. It also creates a secure attachment for one of the most important parts of the Tarus -- its ventilation mesh. Much of the shoe body receives this nylon mesh in order to keep the internal temperature of the Tarus consistently low and comfortable.
The Tarus is compatible with three hole cycling cleats. And for easy adjustment, the sole features a molded, 10mm horizontal and vertical cleat alignment scale. This scale also offers the Look Memory Eyelet.
The Sidi Tarus Shoes are available in the color Black/black and in odd and even sizes from 38.0 to 50.0.
