Could be entertaining (or dangerous) if the stick got out in front of you, dug in and you pole vaulted off it.
Wonder if it would make those long, cross-bowl traverses any easier on a board.

Looks like something Cannonball could use at Cannon, since Cannon hates snowboarders!!!!!
Yep - and it seems to have a longer reach than most ski poles, so it should be pretty effective!
2 things: First, as a mostly skier and part time boarder I am subject to phantom pole syndrome. This is when you are riding a lift and suddenly panic because you realize your ski poles are missing, then you remember you have a board strapped to your feet, not skis. Having this stick in hand would cure PPS.
Second is when you are at an area that requires negotiating a lot of very flat terrain...Gore comes to mind. Easier to pole than unstrap?

I saw 2 or 3 snowboarders this season with a ski pole, it's usually on a pow day, but not always. Makes sense to me.

I always thought we skiers were lucky to have ski poles to bang off lift towers on the way up.Bang away snowboarders!

Ski poles have been around for a hundred years. In fact this type of pole isn't new. It's extremely old. Just seems odd to be marketed to snowboarders.
