As a wise person reminded me today... Skiing is better than not skiing, and nothing beats free.

Sunday River was free today with a costume. This made the barely-there conditions pretty fun. Riding was on upper T2 with the Locke triple serving the up...and the down from mid-station. There was no line at the base. But running the lift slow for downloading made for long lines for both up and down at mid-station. The mood was great though with warm sunny skies and fun costumes.

Props to SR fit serving it up (free) when they really didn't need to.

Were you able to ski to the bottom?

No the skiing is just T2. Lower Sunday punch is complete toast at the bottom, it would have been a long walk. T2 looks surprisingly good for this time of year. Almost wall to wall, not sure how deep the snow is though (did not ski but checked out the conditions when passing through Bethel).

Most people I talked to said it was icy all day long but Oct skiing is october skiing......
