I think they need to get the price down around that of a common lock in order to be successful.

They might have better luck too if such a device could be implanted into the ski during construction.

If it's mounted near the toe piece of the binding I don't see it being bothersome. I just see someone being able to pry it off rendering it useless. If the technology was imbedded, like say the chips you can get implanted in your pets, that would make more sense.

But really a $15 lock has been all I've ever needed.
