Conditions: Powder, packed powder, wetsnow

Trip Report:

Wow what can I say, Gunstock hit the jackpot for yesterday's snow it seemed. With 4 inches of fresh powder, it was a great day to be on the hill. Got there around 8:30, to find the Panorama quad delayed. Made my way up the ramrod quad, to ski down Tiger... Took the tiger lift for the first time this season, to ski down a freshly opened Red Hat, which was already chopped up with some nice powder. Made my way back up to take the tote road over to Trigger, and had fresh undisturbed tracks all the way back down to the quad. It was quite an amazing day. Pissed my phone kept crapping out on me so very few photos. Later that afternoon the little guy got his hour ski lesson, and is now doing great! Added to the awesomeness of yesterday was it was demo day! Free Demos, Free Refills and yeah SNOW! Some photos:

How were the crowds? Thinking of going up tomorrow and have never been. Looks nice. Not a bad drive from Boston either.

I was there Sat as well. Surprised crowds were relatively light. Ski on the Tiger (best terrain on hill) and no more than a 3-4 chair wait at peak off the top.
No idea what it was like today or will be tomorrow. Gunstock is historically one of the busiest mtns in the state. To have few lines on MLK wknd with fresh snow was quite a pleasant surprise.

Would say Loon, Sunapee, Gunstock get most skier visits in NH (in that order)

Let us know if you go. They have a good product right now for sure even if I find the layout/terrain annoying/boring by and large.

Went today. Got on the snow around 8:45. Longest wait in line was maybe 2 minutes. Hardly anyone there considering the holiday.

While I found the trails lacking in character and any real challenge, I was astounded at the quality of the snow given the year we're having. They must dump some serious resources into their snowmaking system. They were blowing on a few trails today. I'll probably never go back, but I'm glad I went as it was the first time I've skied this year and it actually felt like winter.
