Resort:
Mount Snow

Conditions: Wet Pack, Mixed Bag, Fog, Snow and Rain

Trip Report: First day out for the season and first time on the new skis, boots, and bindings! With rain, and snow along with crowds, it was quite the first day on the hill. Conditions held up pretty well, although the bubble went down early, and they had to load up the summit express, until they could fix it. I stay on Canyon and Long John, just to break the legs back in and make sure I didn't do too much damage during my epic yard sale last year at Gunstock. Surprised the hip was stills tender, but by the end of the 3rd run, it started to fell much better. Really excited to be skiing here this winter and with new gear!

Here are some photos and all:

We didn't get on snow until 2pm or so - Bubble lines were short and the snow on Cascade from the Summit was sweet. Long John was getting skied off and a little muddy but still very good. Snow on Gulch was sticky - at least down the sides; didn't hit the features. Never made it over to North Face. First day of the season and the legs weren't having it.

Tuna, they are great for busting up the wet pack! But man my legs were burning! MB - Cascade skied really good, and when the light snow finally came around 12ish, it was starting to really ski nicely. Canyon/Standard was just heavy and wet. All in all still a great first day out on the mountain.

Freefall, post groom, had "world cup quality" snow on it on Sunday the 27th! Above freezing with wet stuff on the 26th and a freeze up overnight = world cup quality snow - decent quantity of snow for Thanksgiving weekend for sure though!
