Resort or Ski Area: Gunstock

Conditions: Post meltdown frozen granular

Trip Report: Was up on the hill yesterday to allow for my son to take some lessons. The hill survived the meltdown, although they did not blow that much snow to recover though. I took my kid to the learning center, where he spent the entire day learning how to link turns. Hopefully next time out he will be able to ride the chair lift, almost there.

On the mountain itself was fast and pretty packed. Where they blew new snow, it skied pretty well, but, man a good storm would be nice. Run of the day was trigger, where they blew snow on the lower half. What made it nice was that it was demo day, so I got to try out a few other skis.

Those look like my skis... except I can't tell if they're blue or black. I have the 90s/blues (Vantage 90 CTi). Surprisingly good ski on hard pack!

Gunstock should be getting some good snow tonight and into tomorrow morning. Forecasts are showing the lake region picking up the bounty of the snowfall. Hopefully that allows them bounce back from the melt. Still a ways a way for Hot Shot to be open...
