Wednesday brought about 12 inches of fresh new snow to Woods Valley. The lake effect snow was very light and dry on top of a nice firm base. It was a beautiful night under the lights. There were not a of folks there, and fresh tracks were easy to find all the way to last chair.

Another one of those places I should have been skiing in college out in Geneva NY... but instead I was more interested in going to Phish shows... oooof !

I skied Wood's Valley for about an hour last year. They got about a foot. Really flat until the final drop. An hour was plenty. Loved the corn field at the top of the hill, gnarly.

Yeah, I like it better when they run the T-bar. It’s much faster than the chairlift, and you don’t have to run the flats on the top. Of course, then you miss out on the beautiful corn field view. That must’ve been like going home for you......
