Many of us have seen and used the excellent USGS resource of online real-time streamflow conditions.

Well, apparently some of them are going to be discontinued - I happened to notice this online:

Streamflow-Gaging Stations to be Discontinued

Due to reductions in funding from the State of New Hampshire, data collection at the following sites will be discontinued on September 30, 2004. Users who can contribute funding for the non-Federal share of costs to continue operation of any of these gages should contact the USGS New Hampshire – Vermont District Office at (603) 226-7808.

Ellis River near Jackson, NH
Upper Ammonoosuc River near Groveton, NH
Mohawk River near Colebrook, NH
Stony Brook near Temple, NH
Shannon Brook near Moultonborough, NH
Poorfarm Brook near Gilford, NH
West Branch Warner River near Bradford, NH
