Do you use one? Is it adjustable or do you use the fixed degree ones? I need to pick one up and am looking for recommendations. The SVST ones are really nice, but $75 for guide is kinda crazy. The FKS guides seem to be the cheapest at $9, but I'm a little concerned how they will hold up being made of plastic. Is the Beast guide ($20) a good compromise?

couple pieces of plexiglas, small "C" clamp 2 layers of duct tape 60mm from the edge for each degree will make base file guide

....

$.01...
I imagine the plastic is solid enough....anything to get a firm hold, then the job is simple but effective.
I think I've seen the Beasts in a quick glimpse....at a distance....looked ok. For $29, what the heck....if they glide well enough give them a shot..

I have an adjustable but now that I run everything 1 and 3 it's a little of a pain as you have to keep checking to make sure it hasn't moved. I am going to replace it with a fixed 1 degree.

Thanks for the responses. I found an all metal swix one that's $25 that I think I'll pick up.
