    How about a part of the forum where registered users could post via text message real-time? I'd give quick updates where ever I'm skiing.

    Just buy an IPhone..I want one so bad..I sometimes go 5 hours without the internet..it's rough

    New 3G compatible iPhones should be coming out in the next few months. You should be able to get the 1st gen ones for cheap at that point.
    Whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly.

    In addition to price, my other gripe with iphones are that you have to use AT&T. It would be more appealing to me if I could pick my network / calling plan.

    Apparently they're a snap to unlock.

    Still? I thought Apple released 'updates' that made it harder to unlock?

    Even if you can unlock them, they're a GSM phone and will only work on, say, AT&T or T-Mobile. You would not be able to use one on Verizon, which is CDMA.
