avoid resorts :D here are some of the better deals:

cannon: 2fers on tuesday & thursday
wildcat: 2fers on wednesday
wildcat: $15 for sunday after 12 noon
burke: cheap any day, especially mid-week
magic: rediculously cheap, especially tuesdays and wednesdays (bring a can good)
black: cheap cheap cheap!

essentially, go mid-week and go to smaller, local owned, non-corporate ski areas.

I'm going to plug Mt. Cranmore again. $35 anyday up from $29 last year, but still a good deal. Great service, not crowded at all midweek.

Waterville Valley is $39 non-holiday midweek and weekends this year.

Another great deal is 2/$40 Tuesdays at Shawnee Peak good from open to close - this means night skiing too. It's also only $30 midweek. Look here:

Bromley - $32 Mon-Fri till January 17th and March 17th till closing exc. holiday
Massachusetts:
Catamount - (with other area season pass) wknd/hol $20, midwk $15, night $10
Butternut - $15 mon/tues non-holiday
Jiminy Peak - $15 mon w/online coupon
Berkshire East - $25 midweek
