Trails(s) Hiked: trails, 25, 35, 36, ADK Range Trail & 34 - Beaver Meadows

Total Distance: approx. 12.8?
Difficulty: in spots, quite difficult, on Lake Road, pretty easy

Conditions: Muddy in spots, finished before the T-Storms

Special Required Equipment: a camera & good weather for the great views, mud/water shoes

Trip Report: Drove up early Saturday AM, Lake Road is an easy trip up, water was really coming over the dam but two people were fishing, one guy caught a couple of fish in just the short time it took me to cross the bridge. Trail climbs at moderate to steep points, great view of Rainbow Falls. then alternates between easy & steeps climbs up to col.

A few steep spots on the way up to Sawteeth which had a ledge with great views towards Pyramid & Gothics. After getting back to the Col, it's an easy tenth of a mile before you start climbing steeply to Pyramid, superb views from Pyramid, the col between Pryamid & Gothics is steep in couple of spots but short & Gothics is one of the few peaks in the Adirondacks above treeline.

From there to Beaver Meadows trail, it's steep in a few spots & the trail is scrubbed lined, narrower than you might think for a trail to a popular peak. A few ladders & rougher trail on Beaver Meadows trail than I thought up high but it got easier. Beaver Meadow Falls a very pretty destination, even if you just went up from Lake Road just to the falls.

Sweet! Haven't done Beaver Meadows, we included Armstrong and Upper Wolfjaw on our return. Loved that trail up to the Pyramid/Sawteeth col, though. Beautiful route.
