Did Tumbledown Pond on Saturday 10/18. We got a late start from too much fun on Friday night, and didn't get hiking until 12:15. What a great day! 45-50 degrees, no wind, bright and sunny. We parked at the Brook trail parking lot and walked up the road to the Loop trail parking lot, where the Loop trail head was, and went in there. We did the loop trail to the North peakView attachment 1848, We went up through the "Fat man's squeeze" View attachment 1849, and had lunch above that, on a rock outcroping with great views View attachment 1850. We passed the Tumbledown pond, and headed down the Brook trail around 4:30, and got to the parking lot around dusk. What a great day and route up and down. The next day we hiked a small peak across the pond from where we stayed View attachment 1852 and got these views of the ponds south of Bethel off route 26 View attachment 1853. It was a great weekend to be in the outdoors. Thanks Michael for the Tumbledown Pond recomendation, it was a great trip!
