I'd have to agree, rap blows.

Saw Loudon years ago at the Beacon Theater; one of the most entertaining shows I've ever been to.

He was the opening act for Harry Chapin, another very entertaining act.

Commander Codey and his Lost Planet Airmen

Wow ! Very few people remember the good Commander !
I saw Commander Cody a long time ago in Burlington VT at Hunt's. It was the same day I had my wisdom teeth out. Didn't drink anything, but I sure wasn't feeling much pain.

I like:
Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits
Queen
Patsy Cline
Steve Winwood
Nat King Cole (smooooooooth)

Ive actually been listening to some iron maiden a little lately, dont know anything about them so. Whats your recommendations for there best cds

I would say their third album, "Number of the Beast" is their best. But to me, their all great. If your looking for old sounding, 80's guitars, then check out the album "Iron Maiden". If you are looking for very clean sounding, techincal music, then try "Somewhere in Time", "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son", "Beave New World", or "Dance of Death"

That's an eclectic group. I'm not much of a Country buff but Patsy Cline had a voice that could transcend all boundaries. I also agree on Nat King Cole--fantastic voice. Did you know he was a fantastic jazz pianist? I think he kind of got channeled into doing a lot of pop stuff that doesn't really appeal to me. Don't know the actual name of the song but stuff like "roll out the hazy lazy crazy days of summer."

I didn't pass judgement on Rap, I just said I don't listen to it.

I listened to one of the first rap's out there long before many of you were out of diapers....it was called "Rapper's Delight".

I listen to hip-hop once in a while when I am with my 13 year old niece.

I think he was referring to my statement of "rap blows" and I guess I should explain that. I don't mean all rap, I mean all of this new rap that has come out in the last 5 years or so that is mainly about image and not about music. I don't care how many people you claim to have shot or how large the tires on your cars are. Not to put down anyone who listens to it, I'm just not into it.
