had planned to go up yesterday afternoon but bagged due to the red and yellow moving in on the radar. this weekend is VES#2 race weekend with downhill, super-d and dual slalom and they also have non-race riding.
that rain made everything really greasy this morning! got there at 8 for 4 super d runs, the first one in some thick ass fog.
cleared up a little more each run.
slick a snot though, ate a mud ball and almost dumped twice in the same goofy off camber spot just above the steep drop about 2/3 way down.
last 2 runs did the dual slalom at the end, that'd be a ton of fun with some practice and the right bike. was watchin jay and the ewr guys killin it just before qualifiers. headed out just after 10, glad to survive another wet day with no damage to self or ride.
one of these days maybe i'll get a chance to ride it when its dry.
