Headed directly west from Hunter in the VW... To South Dakota and Wyoming..
Did about 3,800 miles.. Took about 2 days to drive there...

Nice TR DMC!! That's a drive that hands down is on my to do list one day (probably in a few years when the kids are a bit older)

if I could do it all over again - i'd go for more then a week.. and do some camping...
We stayed in hotels... used rewards miles...

Very nice! The Badlands are amazing!

My FIL is on a road trip to WY right now... I think he's away for 2.5 weeks. Doing some hiking and backcountry camping while there... I know he's heading to Yellowstone for some of the trip. Amazing stuff!

Watch the speed limit Root, strictly enforced...especially if your plates say you're from north of Mason-Dixon line.

We didn't see a trooper after we left Illinois.. Set the cruise control at 85 - was hitting 95 at points on the prairie... Not a problem.. Hauled ass....

When I drove to Bozeman MT, it took me 4 days...so 2 days to So-Dak is really good but I imagine having another person to share the driving helps alot..great pictures!!!!
