this night trip to blue mountain had two purposes, get my first few thousand feet of vertical for the season and teach a buddy to ski. it was opening day so there were really only 3 trails open with about 800 feet of vertical. overall it was well worth the $13 lift ticket and hour and half drive from philadelphia. if anyone from the area is headed up that way they were blowing snow like crazy so there should be alot more open by the end of this weekend

blue isnt as far north as i80, it is off the lehigh valley exit of 476, the north east extension, from there it is about 20 minutes north of allentown
