According to the New Haven Register, German native Niels Giffey verbally committed to join Connecticut's incoming freshman class after an official visit last week.
He joins a 2010 class which includes Roscoe Smith, Jeremy Lamb, Michael Bradley, Shabazz Napier and Tyler Olander.
