yes - this is my pet peeve.. ;) (makes it better)

But properly resized and displayed pictures makes the browsing experience better and more seamless.
On all supported devices that access AlpineZone.

There are many ways to do this.

Do it or not.. It's just better if you do(imho)

;) (makes it ok)

Aren't there addons to phpbb and vBulletin that will auto resize if the pic exceeds a configurable size?

not a fan of tinyurl. obfuscates the true link and could be the harbinger of death to your PC by redirecting you to a malicious web site.

i'm surprised Nick even allows that here. no concern for the PC safety of the AZ community i see.

I'm not - My virus stuff doesn't let the bad stuff in..

It was just a "Let Me Google It For You" link...

Me either. I don't ever click on them.

At least you have a choice to click on them.. With embedded HiRes pictures you don't have a choice..

I'll refrain from using TinyURL if it's an issue

FYI - there's is a website by TinyURL that will preview the actual URL if you ever need it...

Yes, I haven't had the chance yet but I know they exist for PHPBB. Im trying to see what is out there for VBulletin, I'm sure it exists. I'm still new to vBulletin, so bear with me, but I agree there is some reasonable size for pics; if you want the full size you can click on it and go to see the full version.

I've used bit.ly before and goo.gl before, I've always wondered about the malicious site thing.

Sorry guys, I have a lot to learn and I'm hesitant to start changing policies this board has used for a while. I will be looking at several things through and will collaborate with the community here so everone' son the same page. I don't want another Word Filter episode :dunce:
