Jay Peak in Early April?

Looking to go on a weekend up to Jay Peak, earliest it looks like its doable for the group I'm with is early April. Probably the 3rd or 10th.

Any ideas whether what Jay Peak is like that time of the year typically? Is it worth it or should we instead go to K-town?

Going with someone who is very restricted by budget so looking for some cheaper accoms (although maybe not Grampa Grunts cheap!).

Thanks guys!

Jay has really nice spring bumps if they set up right. I had a great spring bumps day there in April last year (I think it was last year at least).

Deal of the year at Jay!

Okay, Starting april 8th they are having a killer deal! Since they are demolishing the Jay Hotel at the end of April, they are having a special.... $59 per person in double occupancy. It includes 1 night in the Hotel, your lift ticket, breakfast, and dinner! The deal is insane cheap.Sure the hotel is beat, but it is 90 feet from the tram. If you are looking for a cheap deal , it doesn't get any cheaper! You get all that for less than the cost of a regular ticket.
Deal can be found here:
http://www.jaypeakresort.com/#/about...kedown_palace/

If you and your buddy don't mindsharing a room, then there is no need to look any farther, I cannot imagine you finding anything better than this!
They have tons of snow, so it should be good for the 10th! I am going down some time between the 8th and 15th.

Hope this helps!

I skied April 13th at Sugarloaf last year. It was the warmest east coast day I've every skied. Very pleasant. From what I recall, late season lodging prices are at bargain basement prices everywhere.

Wow I love that deal! Thanks!

I hate Jay Peaks lodging website though - it never works for me. Will give them a call, hopefully still avaliable.

It was only announced the day before yesterday. If you cannot get it through the reservations desk, contact Kim Hewitt at

khewitt@jaypeakresort.com

I believe she is in marketing and may be running this promo. I had no problem finding the"Brokedown Palace" special on their website (that is what they are calling this deal). Keep in mind, the hotel shows its age.

Let me know if it works out. I have never had a problem hooking up with one of their advertised specials. In future, you may want to signup for their 242 newsletter, that is where I hear about all of their deals. I save a ton of cash due to that little bit of spam.

got that 242 email the other day. That is a wicked deal for $59.00. I bet that it is about 99 per person for Easter weekend.

Just give them a call. I stayed at the Hotel Jay two weeks ago on that tix/lodging/meals package. The deal wasn't even on the website. They gave it to me without asking. The rooms are not "brokedown" at all and the breakfast buffet and dinners were pretty awesome. What's even better was that Sunday the 21st was a powder day!
