Resort or Ski Area: Pat's Peak

Conditions: packed pow, mostly sunny, 20's, light wind

Trip Report: Having been @ Pat's over the Christmas break i was leary about going there on MLK weekend but we decided to take a chance and it paid off.

Pulled in to the parking lot late morning, happy to find the overflow lot NOT in use yet. Lodge wasn't too bad, we booted up and headed out. Hit the Hurricane Triple and went off skiing. We were family style this weekend so we hit the easy cruiser runs from the top over and over. Snow was fantastic, great packed powder all over the place. Lift lines were managable, Vortex lift was just a couple minutes wait all day. We skied the same group of trails all day, the kids seemed to have more fun with each run.

As expected with MLK weekend there were lots of beginners out and about but Pat's team managed the crowds well. By 3:00 the place was starting to empty out, guess folks wanted to get home for the big game.

Excellent conditions today on the trails. I didn't ski the bumps but they looked good from the lift.
