Trip Report:

We took advantage of the NH resident pricing at $29 for the afternoon! This place is big and a half day of skiing is great there! The day was a mixed bag of some wind, clouds and sun. The temp was above freezing (35 dgrees when we got there) towards 3 the snow was getting soft so speed was important! One thing about Okemo - they have 19 lifts so the crowd gets nicely distributed across the mountain. The resort has thee section south side the main face and the Jackson Gore side. We wanted to visit them all so we set off to do so!

We went up the South Ridge Quad to get over to the Northstar Express Quad. This chair allows you to get anywhere! From there we skied down Countdown to get to Glades Peak Quad. We then went down Rimrock and Blind Faith and lapped South Face Express Quad. One important note - we had a beginner skier who wanted a green trail so Dream Weaver was the ticket for him but Upper Mtn looks like it is right of the top of the Glade Peak Quad when it is really to the left a little. We sent the kids down that by accident - opps! We went back up to catch the kids ob Dream Weaver and never found them due to the mistake. BTW Dream Weaver is a nice Green and it is fast. Luckily the beginner was not a fast skier and we all headed down Upper Mtn and caught up to them! BTW Upper Mtn is very very flat - do not go there!

Once we caught up our kids went to the Hot Dog Park and lapped that for the rest of the time. We on the other hand opted to head over to Jackson Gore and lapped the chair there for a few runs. So... Tuckered Out is tuckered out and somewhat lame. Quantum Leap is much more fun.

Now back to the center of Okemo! There we skied down to Solitude Express to avoid Mountain Road (it is flat). Then we skied down Express Lane and Arrow trails which took up back to Nortstar Express where we lapped it for runs on Sapphire, Tomahawk and finally Jolly Green Giant. Jolly Green Giant was the only bad trail and obviously a lot of skier and snowboarder take that trail. It was scraped off!

Every trail we went on was perfect and in some cases had soft bumps but nothing major. We had a great afternoon and definitely like Okemo a lot!

We ate a tavern (Tom's Loft Tavern) at the base of the mountain that looked rough around the edges but the food was great! It reminded me of a college town bar!

Nice report. We are leaving for Okemo tomorrow night so very timely. Sounds like we will have some good conditions for the long weekend.
Was Tom's Loft Family friendly? Our kids (9) are used to low key Après pubs and it it tradition to get rootbeer and beer beer after a day on the hill.

kids would be better off at pot belly pub or whatever they are calling the place under the mill condos.

Much of the larger seating is upstairs and there are a few arcade games on the third floor! It is very tight! I would say it is an OK place with a couple of kids but any more it would be crowded. We had a 10 and 12 year old with us and we had a great time they played Buck Hunter and we relaxed with Switchbacks! We were there on a Sunday - I bet it gets really crowded on Saturday! This is not your traditional pub! More frat house like!
