It's been a few years since i've posted a sledding report.
I was done skiing this afternoon but not done playing on the snow. This was my second sled run at Jay this week but I diddnt bring a camera with me last night I was done skiing this afternoon but not done playing on the snow.So I suited back up and started hiking with my Swissbob. For those of you who dont know what a Swissbob sled is, it's a sled made of rugged hard plastic, it's shaped a bit like the bottom of a spade shovel, and has grooves underneath which help it carve(kinda like a board). Anyway, I hiked up past the Metro quad to the bottom of Upper River Quai. It was very late afternoon of a warm spring day (even though it's still winter). The snow was VERY soft. The top of Lower River Quai was awsome and fast with snow blasting my goggles and face. Unfortunately it diddnt last ling as the soft snow got a hold of me and slowed thing right down. I made it almost all the way down without stopping but it was some work. Still it was very cool to be up on the hill after all the skiers/riders have been down for some time. Ive slid all over the White mountains with that thing. Tucks, Hillmans, Mt. Adams Spur Trail Mt adams snowfields, T2B spring bumps under the Quad at Wildcat just 2 name a few adventures. I've slid from the floor of Tucks, over the Little Headwall and all the way to the parking lot down the Sherburne without stopping, 8 minutes! What a ride!!!! I love that sled.
