I've had enough of Killington's BS. :puke:

I'm getting ski house at SR next year, and will ski there, Sugarloaf, and Mt. Washington.

But what if the top ten skiers at SR won't ski with you? Or, what if they are better than the top ten skiers at K and you can't keep up (as would be the case at Sundown 8)?

Ugh . . . I wouldn't wish Sunday River on anyone.

If you're going that far, you might as well go the extra two hours and get a place at Sugarloaf.

I figure SR has a better scene, and that it is a good staging point. Drive up there Friday night, then day trip it to the 'loaf on saturday, or hit Mt.Washington/Wildcat on the way back Sunday.

I've done stowe and sugarbush....they are great.

Thank you little baby Jesus!

Don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out. Good riddens.

Awww, I know you guys are going to miss me.

Look at it this way, you still have all this season of "Killington = Fail!!!" to look forward to.

Just when you thought they were going to get off to a strong start this season....Fail!!!!

Where is home for you? Bethel is nice, but its not the Access road at K and many us us never leave the access road to the River. If K opens before the 31 and stays open into May, you might feel different.

Sunday River is some of the best folks on the planet IMHO. Also the resort is focused on the skiing first-that's not just a marketing statement. Provide a good product and the money will follow was always the approach when I worked there. It seems unchanged.

Actually, Sunday River has seemed lame every single time I've skied there over the last 10 years. Hummm. Tough call.

So I guess it comes down to:

Sunday River = Lame.

VS.

Killington = Fail.

OR:

Lame VS. Fail

Tough call!!!!

About 10.

I went to school in Maine and we pretty much went to Sugarloaf every time we skied.

I know enough about SR to know I don't like it.

That's pretty much how I felt when I was in college and had skied SR about 10 times...4 years of school (UMF) did all of my skiing at SL but worked in a shop at SR...then I lived at SR for a year and got to know the place better and appreciate it much more.
I wouldn't write it off like that...but then again I wouldn't drive from NY through VT and NH to go to SR any sooner than I'd drive from ME through NH and VT to ski anywhere over there. After living in Portland for a number of years I didn't find the extra hour drive to SL to be worth it.

Hmmm...early opening...late closing...good lift system, lots of terrain, great snowmaking...yeah, that place sucks!
